This verse reminds me of the old hymn, “Just a closer walk with thee”. What a wonderful reminder, to walk, hand in hand, with Jesus, moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day, both now and forever!

The Good fruit comes from Faith through God’s Grace. We can not earn salvation, works are, from an overflowing joy, of the Good News of the Gospel. Grace to all of you, today. May we show Grace, just as Jesus, has to us. Not because we deserved it, on the contrary, we deserved eternal punishment, but through his, Grace, and our Faith in Jesus, he has set us free.

The Apostle Paul, reminds the Ephesians (and us), that just as he is a prisoner, there will be costs, to following Jesus. May we count it an honor, to be asked to suffer through something, for his names sake. Father, give us your strength, to go through, what we need to, today. There is always many opportunities to sin, when your mouth is always running. It risks more sin. Wisdom says, to be guarded with our word’s, AND to use them carefully and for good and not evil. May your tongue, be blessed with word’s that build up, and not tear down, and may Jesus be lifted up.

The Gospel is truly liberating. In recognizing our sin, and Jesus taking that sin in our place, we have been pardoned by God. He never see our sin again. We are truly set free to serve him, and never have to worry, because even, in our failures, he is there beside us. Thank you Jesus.

Freedom……a word in the US, that seems to mean these days, you can do, and say whatever you want. Freedom in Christ, our heavenly citizenship, is freedom from the bondage of sin, and condemnation that Satan proclaims, as well as the system of legalism of the Law, which only Jesus could keep. We are free to devote ourselves to love and good works, and if we fall, we are cleansed by the work of Jesus, on the cross. Can I get an Amen?
