Being filled with the spirit, is the only way we can do this. Can you tell me what the fruits of the spirit are? Share your thoughts, please, but from scripture, not opinions.

Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

In a day, when there is no accountability where we live, anyone can make an accusation without proof. How refreshing to know, that God says, don’t do this! So……there is accountabiliy. It is not of this worldly system, but from God. We all might want to think twice, about what comes out of our mouths, and make sure we have the facts straight, before we start throwing stones. I am reminded of what Jesus said to the accusers of the adulterous woman. He who is without sin, cast the first stone. Even in this case, there was undeniable proof of her sin.

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

A picture is worth a thousand words!

A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.

I want you to stop and think about this, with me for a minute. Jesus’s way, is not the world’s way. We are called to Love our enemies, not destroy and overcome, like the worldly view. We overcome with Love and Compassion, just as Jesus did. Think about an enemy, or someone you are at war (there is strife of some sort) with right now. Show compassion and love to them, but don’t do it to get something. Do it because that is how Jesus did it. The rest is not up to us. God Bless you today.

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Discipline does not equal punishment. It involves so much more! There is training, coaching, correction, encouragement, and at times, reprimand. When you see it done with love, it is a wonderful experience, even though in the short term, there may be discomfort.

All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

When we are weak, then we are strong, through your Holy Spirit, that you sent for us, Jesus. Thank you!

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

Let me try and paraphrase this verse……..Fill your mind with God’s word, and you will be filled with his spirit, which Jesus sent to help us walk with him. Fill your mind, with the things of this world, and you will be like the world, around you. A sobering thought, as to how quickly we can lose our way!

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

Being right with God is a blessing. He knows our hearts and thoughts. Even when we fail, he hears our prayers of repentance. Thank you, Jesus!

” For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous , And His ears attend to their prayer , But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil .”

Confession, renews the body and soul. Don’t be afraid to come before God, and bow humbly before him, to ask ask forgiveness. Not saying there aren’t consequences for our sin, but we worship a God who is full of Grace and Mercy. He has promised to remove our sins, as far as the East is from the West, because Jesus has taken the penalty for our transgression. I hope you response is an Amen.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Happy 4th of July! We are blessed, to live in a country that gives us so much freedom. More importantly, we are blessed as Christians to celebrate our freedom in Christ, from the bondage of sin. Let freedom ring, both today, and everyday. God Bless You All, today!

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
