Strength will rise, as we wait upon the Lord!

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

Our strength comes from our faith, in the one who can deliver us, against all odds. We have all tried, in our own strength and failed, but thanks be to Jesus, who has delivered us from the power of sin and death. We can live life now, and for all of eternity, with hope, and joy, and peace, knowing our destiny for all of eternity! Ther is nothing that can separate us from the love of God, who are in Christ Jesus, our Lord, as the apostle Paul would say, in Romans 8. Amen & Amen!

If you are the center of your own universe, ie you worship yourself, how will you ever, find the one true God. If this is you, Jesus, is the only way to finding God! Praying your eyes will be opened to this truth, just as ours were opened when WE were blind. Thank you all, who follow me, and listen to what the Lord puts on my heart to share. You are a blessing to me, and encouragement.

A fool does not delight in understanding, But only in revealing his own mind.

This water pouring, was satire of Jewish tradition, of the foreshadowing of a future time, of rivers of living water (Holy Spirit). Ez 47:1-9.

Jesus was saying, he is the fulfillment of Ezekiel 47. He was the one who would give eternal life.

Celebrating 39 years of marriage. I am a blessed man. Every year, we visit a different baseball stadium, and this year it is was Houston. It was raining cats and dogs, but thankfully, stadium had a roof!

God hates the proud heart, so we are to walk in humility. We do this, by be filled with his spirit, knowing God’s Word, and trusting in his sovereignty, that his plan is best, even when we don’t understand it. When the time is right, our God will lift us up. This whole chapter is a great one to study, as well as James 1 (my favorite), to better understand, going through trials. Jesus, may we walk in humility today, and every day. Your will and timing is perfect, and we submit to you. Amen.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

God’s words spoken through King David. Who can add to this!

Yours, O Lord , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord , and You exalt Yourself as head over all.

Think about the men and women who have gone before us. They are who we look to for inspiration. They are not looking at us, but we at them. Take a moment to remember, someone who has guided, and shown you the way, of true faith. Set aside the legalism, that the Hebrews were surrounded by, and put your faith and Trust in Jesus, the one and only one, who provides salvation to those who accept his free gift. Finally, get rid of the temptations and distractions, around us, that take away our focus, from running the race. May we all run with focus, today, and with vision. May we point the way to Jesus, for future generations to follow.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Beware of the legalism, that can so easily come upon us. God wants a changed heart, that compels us from within, to honor God, not some self righteous, me oriented, do good mentality that checks a box off. Jesus as God, showed us the Love, compassion and devotion to the Father, that he deserves, and we should desire. Thank you Jesus, for giving us your spirit, to help, and guide us, in our path.

For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

The Apostle Paul, was confident, that God would supply, all of the Philippians needs, because of their tremendous generosity in supporting him in his ministry. We can never outgive God!

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We live in a world, that seems to be crumbling around us. Our hope, both in the future and now, in this present darkness, is that we have a friend in Jesus, who has overcome the world. Because of his reconciliation of us, with God the Father, we can live life, without the bondage of sin, and the freedom to share the Good News, with with all who would listen. The book of 1 John, calls us overcomers! Can I get an Amen?

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
