May we wait patiently, on you, O Lord. May we not look at what we don’t have yet, but see the blessings and grace, we have already received. May we look forward, to so much more, when we receive our final crowns. Our Hope is in you, Lord. The one who has rescued us from destruction, through Jesus!

John MacArthur Study Bible
The overarching theme of this book and particularly the first 9 chapters is introduced—reverence for God (see v. 29; 2:5; 3:7; 8:13; 9:10; 14:26, 27; cf. also Job 28:28; Ps 34:11; Ac 9:31). See Introduction: Historical and Theological Themes. This reverential awe and admiring, submissive fear is foundational for all spiritual knowledge and wisdom (cf. 2:4–6; 9:10; 15:33; Job 28:28; Ps 111:10; Ecc 12:13). While the unbeliever may make statements about life and truth, he does not have true or ultimate knowledge until he is in a redemptive relationship of reverential awe with God. Note the progression here: 1) teaching about God; 2) learning about God; 3) fearing God; 4) knowing God; and 5) imitating God’s wisdom. The fear of the Lord is a state of mind in which one’s own attitudes, will, feelings, deeds, and goals are exchanged for God’s (cf. Ps 42:1).
Lord, May we seek your counsel, as we choose our friends and associates. They can be a source of great joy, or great sorrow. Help us to remember even, when choosing friends & and associates, to ask you for wisdom ( James 1)
Forgive us Lord, when we seek help in the temporal things. May we ALWAYS, find comfort and help in you, no matter what comes our way. NOTHING, can separate us from your LOVE!
Father, help us remember to ask, maybe even plead in our time of need for wisdom. This is not something that just gets zapped into us, when we are a Christian. We certainly have you word and your Holy Spirit, but let us not forget to communicate our need in certain situations.
Obey God and Prosper – Given to Israel, and passed down to the gentiles as well. We have been chosen, for a purpose, that is meant to share with others. He is our God, and We are his people. Our hearts transformed, by the work of Jesus.

Happy New Year, brothers and sisters. Out with the old, in with the new. Can’t wait to see what the Lord will do in each of our lives and look forward to hearing about it, from each of you.
For He, is our God……(And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Rev 15:3)
Gods words will not change. This earth will pass away, but his promise is imminent. He will come, even though we don’t know when. We are to be ready, not spending our time unwisely on unimportant things. What are those things? We must decide, based on his word, not our own selfish hearts desire. Holy Spirit, convict us of the things are unimportant to you, and help us change, so we will embrace you, with open arms, with no regrets, both now and on your return.

Christ’s emphasis instead is on faithfulness, watchfulness, stewardship, expectancy, and preparedness. These are the lessons He taught in the parables that immediately follow.
