He Restores my Soul. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Our Love, is a reflection of our devotion to following Jesus. That devotion, will show in our relationships with our fellow believers and also to those who don’t know Jesus. How are we doing with this?

There is no one like our God. He delights in our devotion to him, in spite of our shortcomings.

Read CAREFULLY. This does not say some people, it says ALL! Forgive me Lord, when I selectively choose who I Love and who I don’t. I would be in severe trouble if you did that to me. Give us your compassion for helping you restore lost souls through your son Jesus.

In my own strength, I would not have the capacity to love, but Paul says, in Philippians, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. –Lord, through your strength, help me to love others who are unlovable, just as I was to you.–

Wishing you, my friends online, a Father’s Day, that is blessed with love, surrounded by family and/or friends. May we be the example, that God has shown great mercy on us, so we should do the same.

My question for us today, is what will we do today for someone, because of the tremendous blessings we have been given, in Christ Jesus? I know my wife and I have several things in mind. May we freely give, as we have been given today.

What God Requires of Man……….

bible.com/bible/100/mic.6.8.NASB1995

With what shall I come to the LORD

And bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings, With yearling calves? 7Does the LORD take delight in athousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8He has atold you, O man, what is good?

Micah’s terse response (v. 8) indicated they should have known the answer to the rhetorical question. Spiritual blindness had led them to offer everything except the one thing He wanted—a spiritual commitment of the heart from which right behavior would ensue (cf. Dt 10:12–19; Mt 22:37–39). This theme is often represented in the OT (cf. 1Sa 15:22; Is 1:11–20; Jer 7:21–23; Hos 6:6; Am 5:15).

Father, give us eyes to see, that we might have hearts that reflect you in our lives.

Father, we are incapable of doing these things on our own. Fill us in remembrance of how you have shown us great mercy, and fill us with your Holy Spirit, to give us your own eyes of compassion on those around us, as undeserving as we were. We deserve nothing, but you have given us life. Amen!
