The Ant vs the Sluggard…….the rest of the Solomon’s warning to his son (or Daughter if you don’t have a son), below.

”Go to the ant, O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise, Which, having no chief, Officer or ruler, Prepares her food in the summer And gathers her provision in the harvest. How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? “A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest”— Your poverty will come in like a vagabond And your need like an armed man.“

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Be cautious, of things you cannot afford, or very quickly, it will own you and your life.

”Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.“
Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I can do All ( not some), things through Christ ( not in my own strength), who strengthens me. Joesph and Mary, were just teenagers, yet they were able to overcome many thing through grace, in humility, obediently following Gods commands, in spite of their circumstances. Can you relate to this in your own life? The angel, sent by God, told Mary, “ With God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE”!

Wise counsel, from one of the wisest men on earth, Solomon. Debt can restrict your successful walk with God, when it is your Master.

Our culture stresses self made men an women, but the Apostle Paul, finds strength in the Lord, through Grace. A better ingredient for both men and women.

”Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.“

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NASB1995

Amen. We are ALL, who believe, saved by Grace, through Faith. We don’t measure up by ourselves. Thank You, Jesus.

Before the battle, while being tremendously outnumbered, the Israelites, bowed and worshipped before the Lord, and this is what the Spirit of God said….” You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.”“ ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭17‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/100/2ch.20.17.NASB1995

For HE is GOOD, HIS LOVE, endures forever.

Lord, many times , I think I am something, in and of myself and the things I have done, but I am nothing without you. I have found my worth, in your love, your compassion, and your forgiveness. I am SOMETHING, only because of YOU, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

The Cure for Anxiety – Matthew 6:25-34.

The Command

25) For this reason I say to you,

Do not be worried about your life,

-as to what you will eat

-what you will drink;

-nor for your body, as to what you will put on.

Why

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Why

26) Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

Why

27 “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

Why

28 “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,

Why

29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon, in all his glory, clothed himself like one of these.

Why

30 “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?

Why

You of little faith!

Command Re-emphasis

31 “Do not worry then, saying,

—‘What will we eat?’ or

—‘What will we drink?’ or

—‘What will we wear for clothing?’

Why

32 “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

SOLUTION

33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 So do not aworry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
