You are the strength when I am weak, you are the treasure that I seek, you are my all in all.

“With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For, behold, those who are far from You will perish; You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to You. But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭73:24-28‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Do you read this verse rejoice sometimes vs always. It’s easy to apply this verse when things are good, but the Apostle Paul clearly makes clear, earlier in the book of Philippians, that our circumstances should not dictate our joy. How are you doing with this today? Can I pray for you, for something? Better yet, let your request be made known to God, but please reach for joy, no matter what!

For He, is our God……(And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Rev 15:3)

Love is of God

bible.com/bible/100/1jn.4.7.NASB1995

Gods words will not change. This earth will pass away, but his promise is imminent. He will come, even though we don’t know when. We are to be ready, not spending our time unwisely on unimportant things. What are those things? We must decide, based on his word, not our own selfish hearts desire. Holy Spirit, convict us of the things are unimportant to you, and help us change, so we will embrace you, with open arms, with no regrets, both now and on your return.

Christ’s emphasis instead is on faithfulness, watchfulness, stewardship, expectancy, and preparedness. These are the lessons He taught in the parables that immediately follow.

What we have been taught and seen and heard in others walk with Jesus, May we we do the same so the Gospel may not stop with us, but may share with others.

Just as Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, by twisting the word of God, so shall he try to do to us, who follow Jesus. We must speak Gods truth to each other, and not worldly wisdom, which will lead us down a path of destruction. What will you choose, Life or Death? Choose Life! This world is not our eternal home.

Use my mouth for good and not evil!

bible.com/bible/100/jas.1.19.NASB1995

Oh, how I am convicted as the holidays approach, with this sound principle from James. I woke up this morning oppressed by a spirit of torment over a conflict from Mothers Day. May my tongue be used for good and not evil, as these days of interaction between family and those we struggle with. Fill me with you Spirit, Lord.
