Wisdom is from God, so be listening for his voice.

He whose ear listens to the life-giving reproof Will dwell among the wise.
Proverbs 15:31 NASB

There is always many opportunities to sin, when your mouth is always running. It risks more sin. Wisdom says, to be guarded with our word’s, AND to use them carefully and for good and not evil. May your tongue, be blessed with word’s that build up, and not tear down, and may Jesus be lifted up.

When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, But he who restrains his lips is wise.

I want you to stop and think about this, with me for a minute. Jesus’s way, is not the world’s way. We are called to Love our enemies, not destroy and overcome, like the worldly view. We overcome with Love and Compassion, just as Jesus did. Think about an enemy, or someone you are at war (there is strife of some sort) with right now. Show compassion and love to them, but don’t do it to get something. Do it because that is how Jesus did it. The rest is not up to us. God Bless you today.

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Man’s wisdom, will deceive. God’s wisdom, will keep us on the right track. It will also, see evil for what it is, a destroyer of truth. Choose reverance for God and he will help you turn from evil. Thank you Jesus, that you have overcome this world, and given us your helper, to guide us. Amen!

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

Lord, may our hearts humbly bow before you, in persistent prayer. May we be alert, to the needs of others, so we might lift them up. Reveal yourself to us, through answered prayer, even though it may not be, what we wanted the outcome to be. May we always remember, that you care about us and love hearing our petitions.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

Nourish your soul, today, meditate and delight, on God’s Word. You will not be disappointed. May we be filled with his spirit, today, that we may shine a light, on the Living God, who walks with us daily.

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.
Psalms 94:19 NASB

Love God, and walk in his ways and find life, both present and eternal .  The alternative, comes in the next couple of verses.  Reject God,  and his ways and you will find death, both in this present life and for all of eternity.  Something to consider wisely.

in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.

True wisdom is of God, not from man.

One thing to also remember. You need to read the next 2 verses. It says you need to ask in FAITH……..for the one who doubts, is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man expect, that he will receive anything from the LOTD!

This is so difficult for me.  It is only, through the eyes of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit, that I am able.  Interestingly, this is not a suggestion, but a command!  Start somewhere, and the Lord will help you grow in this.  Remember, we were enemies of God, until we surrendered to Jesus, through the work of the cross.  He loved us, before we could love him.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
Luke 6:35 NASB

Slow down, listen for the voice of God, meditate on his word, and act on it.  Don’t just think about it.  The men in the picture, most definitely acted on it, and came face to face with the Living God.

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
