This fear, is a true reverence for God by a changed heart. The dynamic is unique. On the one hand, you understand your place before a Holy God. On the other hand, when you understand, that God wants relationship with his creation, it causes you to draw near, and want to please him, because he cares and loves for you. It is life changing thing.

While the unbeliever may make statements about life and truth, he does not have true or ultimate knowledge until he is in a redemptive relationship of reverential awe with God. Note the progression here: 1) teaching about God; 2) learning about God; 3) fearing God; 4) knowing God; and 5) imitating God’s wisdom. The fear of the Lord is a state of mind in which one’s own attitudes, will, feelings, deeds, and goals are exchanged for God’s (cf. Ps 42:1 ).

Are you in the midst of a crisis or life change, or even something less critical, but important? God says ask him, and he will provide generously. Plead with him to give it to you, and he will provide it, in his timing. You will receive peace, knowing God has provided it to you.

The fear of the Lord is a state of mind in which one’s own attitudes, will, feelings, deeds, and goals are exchanged for God’s (cf. Ps 42:1 ).

My experience is that it is more of a profound reverence of the tremendous Grace shown to us, when we rightfully are condemned by our own sinful nature.

Oh what a loving God we have. May we show that same love to those around, that they may know of his love.

Worldly wisdom, is not God’s wisdom. It is a gift from God, to all who ask in faith. Don’t be deceived by this worldly wisdom, which is of Satan, who is the father of lies, and not truth.

How amazing is it, that we can have relationship with our God, and he hears us. Not only hears us, it says when we don’t know what to do, to ask him for wisdom, and he gives generously. Don’t know about you, but I can always use a little more Wisdom, regularly.
