Not only is this promise, for eternity, but it is for today. Jesus, didn’t give his life, so that we can sit around and wait, for the perfect life in Heaven. He gave it so we might live now, in light of this promise, with a hope that shines a light on the Good News, that the King has come, and goes to prepare a place for us. We can live now, in freedom, from the bondage from sin, and live for him! If you are hurting today, I pray, that Jesus would show you comfort, in the midst of your trial. God’s Words, will last, for all of Eternity. This world, is passing away. We must put our hope, in something that will last forever. That hope is in God, through Jesus work on the cross, and his resurrection.
1 Peter 1:23-24

Isaiah elaborated on how transitory humanity is: here today, gone tomorrow. People pass away like plants under the hot breath of the withering E wind. James used this illustration to teach the folly of trusting in material wealth ( Jas 1: 10 , 11 ). Peter used it to illustrate the passing nature of everything related to humanity ( 1Pe 1: 24 , 25 ).
