Humbling yourself before God, is resisting Satan. It’s not standing in your own strength, but being filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus gift to us, along with his sacrifice on the cross, and his gift of eternal life.

Submit. Lit. “to line up under.” The word was used of soldiers under the authority of their commander. In the NT, it describes Jesus’ submission to His parents’ authority (Lk 2:51), submission to human government (Ro 13:1), the church’s submission to Christ (Eph 5:24), and servants’ submission to their masters (Titus 2:9; 1Pe 2:18). James used the word to describe a willing, conscious submission to God’s authority as sovereign ruler of the universe. A truly humble person will give his allegiance to God, obey His commands, and follow His leadership (cf. Mt 10:38). Resist the devil and he will flee from you. The flip side of the first command. “Resist” literally means “take your stand against.” All people are either under the lordship of Christ or the lordship of Satan (Jn 8:44; Eph 2:2; 1Jn 3:8; 5:19); there is no middle ground. Those who transfer their allegiance from Satan to God will find that Satan “will flee from” them; he is a defeated foe.

This is the day that the Lord had made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!!! Jesus = Joy ☺️, Devil/World = Downer 😡, who will you/I choose to follow today.

Who do you say, Jesus is? He clearly states that he has the power over life and death along with granting eternal life. Do you believe? See below for a video on the Messiah.

It is not our wife, husband, mother, father, brother or sister, boss or coworker, who is our enemy.

It is Satans highly organized army that is against us! Fortunately, those who are in Christ, God has given us the tools we need, to defend ourselves, as well as go on the offensive. We are not alone, as we, the Church, resist and conquer, one soul at a time, as the Gospel moves forward, and calls people into the Kingdom of God, for his Glory, not our own.

Worldly wisdom, is not God’s wisdom. It is a gift from God, to all who ask in faith. Don’t be deceived by this worldly wisdom, which is of Satan, who is the father of lies, and not truth.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Freedom……a word in the US, that seems to mean these days, you can do, and say whatever you want. Freedom in Christ, our heavenly citizenship, is freedom from the bondage of sin, and condemnation that Satan proclaims, as well as the system of legalism of the Law, which only Jesus could keep. We are free to devote ourselves to love and good works, and if we fall, we are cleansed by the work of Jesus, on the cross. Can I get an Amen?

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

We live in a world, that seems to be crumbling around us. Our hope, both in the future and now, in this present darkness, is that we have a friend in Jesus, who has overcome the world. Because of his reconciliation of us, with God the Father, we can live life, without the bondage of sin, and the freedom to share the Good News, with with all who would listen. The book of 1 John, calls us overcomers! Can I get an Amen?

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

If we are submitting to God (walking in obedience), then Satan and his minions, are defeated, and they will flee. This is not some macho thing, that we do on our own. We are victorious, because of Christ working us, and through his Holy Spirit. May we be filled today, and win many victories in the name of Jesus!

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
