Lord, may our hearts humbly bow before you, in persistent prayer. May we be alert, to the needs of others, so we might lift them up. Reveal yourself to us, through answered prayer, even though it may not be, what we wanted the outcome to be. May we always remember, that you care about us and love hearing our petitions.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

Lord, may you show us your greatness, in the little things we do, and the interactions we have, with others today. May you reveal to your greatness, that our hearts might be filled with joy, and proclaim your greatness to others. Amen.

For this reason You are great, O Lord God ; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Oh Lord, if we could just get this straight.  Listen first, carefully choose our word’s, and not take personally what people say, which can bring us to anger.  Also Lord, may we be reminded, to be obedient to this passage.  This is not a suggestion, but a command by God!  May your Holy Spirit give us the self control, to carry this out.

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;

Is this not a beautiful picture, of what the church is supposed to be?  Yesterday I said, Love covers a multitude of sins.  Let us show Grace, as Grace has been fully given to us.  May our hearts be forever changed by Jesus.

Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

Let’s not isolate ourselves!  It is not only lonely, but God says, it is better with two people.  Help us Lord, to remember that in our marriage, and in our friendships as well.  Both, are great biblical principles.

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬10 NASB

This is so difficult for me.  It is only, through the eyes of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit, that I am able.  Interestingly, this is not a suggestion, but a command!  Start somewhere, and the Lord will help you grow in this.  Remember, we were enemies of God, until we surrendered to Jesus, through the work of the cross.  He loved us, before we could love him.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
Luke 6:35 NASB

Are you going through the motions with God…….Don’t think he doesn’t know.   He desires relationship and devotion, but hypocrisy he will deal with.   Read the rest of the chapter to see.  May we humble ourselves before you LORD.  You are a gracious God who Loves us.  You care enough to discipline us, when we elevate ourselves above you, to bring us back in the fold.

Then the Lord said, “Because this people draw near with their words And honor Me with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,

Love is an action as well as a supernatural gift of the spirit.  The action is not just moving our mouth.  We are nothing but noise, if our words of love don’t have actions of love, associated with them.

Also, now for the hardest example of Love.  The Bible says to Love You Enemys!  Meditate on that one for a while….You also cannot do this without meditating on the fact that we were once enemies of God.  If not reconciled by Jesus, we would still be God’s enemies!

Thank You Jesus!

If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:2 NASB

Choose your friends wisely, is not just some old saying.  It is written from one of the wisest of all books in God’s Word.  Because God does not want see us harmed, but wants to us succeed in this world.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Proverbs 13:20 NASB

You won’t believe what is included in loving your neighbor.  It’s something we easily like to forget.

“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Luke 6:27‭-‬28 NASB

https://bible.com/bible/100/luk.6.27-28.NASB

Just remember…….WE were enemies of God before we understood the Gospel.   He poured tremendous grace on us, even though we didn’t deserve it.  As followers of Christ, should we not do the same?

Think about someone you may be at odds with in your life right now.  Maybe your brother, sister, father, mother, daughter, son, best friend, etc.  I want you to take a moment, and pray for them and your own heart right now.  Continue to do this until God changes your heart.  Maybe he will change theirs, but you have to worry about your own heart first.

May God’s grace be with you and may it flow to all those around you.

Blessings
