This was a response from God, for being outwardly religious, but inwardly wicked. All our hearts are inherently wicked, but Jesus sent his spirit, and his word, to help us change our hearts. If our hearts are changed, then our actions will overflow with pure motives. This would be a great life verse, don’t you think? God Bless, Alan

Lord, thank you for your word, that is sufficient for all of life. Your word comes to man, from a holy God. Man’s own words, comes from a corrupted heart, that can deceive. Help us to choose your truth, every day, and not the world’s deceptive wisdom, based on our own selfish desires.

Lord, may our hearts humbly bow before you, in persistent prayer. May we be alert, to the needs of others, so we might lift them up. Reveal yourself to us, through answered prayer, even though it may not be, what we wanted the outcome to be. May we always remember, that you care about us and love hearing our petitions.

Don’t be a hypocrite! The Pharisee’s, prayed in public, to please man. It was all about them. It’s not a sin to never pray in public, but here, Jesus is saying, separate yourselves from the distractions, that you may focus on on God.

It’s all connected. What we fill our thoughts, and time, and life with, affect what comes out of our mouths. May we choose your word, your promises, your ways Lord, that our hearts might be filled with your Holy Spirit. May our word’s be word’s of hope, and love, and faith and encouragement.

We can be deceived by our own sinful hearts.  The Lord knows our hearts, and is not deceived, nor can we deceive him.  Trust in him and seek his ways, and he will guide us.

This is why God called David, a man after God’s own heart.  We must have a teachable heart, to be lead by the Spirit.  Lord, please do not allow ourselves to be hardened by the world around us.   You O Lord, are the one who changes hearts, through your Holy Spirit.  May you teach and lead, as we humble ourselves before you.
