We have so much to be thankful for!

This time of year is a great reminder, to be THANKFUL.  Our God has given us new life in Jesus Christ for those that have given their lives to him.  Let us choose to remember and share this good news, to all that will listen this season and everyday, we have opportunity.

May the Lord bless each and everyone one of you and may his Holy Spirit fill you, with the reminder of richness of his many blessings, he has given us.  May we focus on what we have, not on what we don’t, which is what the world bombards us with, every day.

Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.

Don’t run or hide, from your problems!

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
James 1:2‭-‬3 NASB

Look at it this way.  God gives us these trials (not temptations), to affirm our faith.  He wants to be able to say to himself, good job you are faithful in this area.  Then he will test us in another area of our lives.   He doesn’t want us to remain as a baby in our faith.  It is through this process, that we are able to help others in THEIR Faith.  That is why we count it joy.  Not because it may be fun, going through the testing, but because we are becoming  mature and complete.  One day we can enter heavens gates with the sound of, “Well done, good and faithfull servant”!

Thank You Lord.

Choose your friends wisely, is not just some old saying.  It is written from one of the wisest of all books in God’s Word.  Because God does not want see us harmed, but wants to us succeed in this world.

He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Proverbs 13:20 NASB

How do we overcome evil?

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21 NASB

Example of how:  Read verse 20.

Remember: Doing good in and of itself is just an exercise that is futile.  We must be filled with God’s spirit to have that kind of Love.  If we do, then we can point them to Jesus, who is the one who Loves us.
