Love that comes from sacrifice, and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus showed us how to sacrifice, and he sent the Holy Spirit after he left, so that we might be empowered to Love in this way.

Our old self died to sin, our new self, lives by faith. We have been crucified with Christ, so might live.

Living Waters – 4-9-2020

Father, I am yours today, to do your will. Help me, to be filled with your Spirit today, by praying and meditating on your word, so that I might not fall into temptation. Your word says, I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Father, please don’t let the distractions of this world keep me from remebering your death and resurrection, and loving those around me as you have so sacrificially loved me.

Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/mat.26.41/51182

Jesus transitioned the Passover dinner, from looking forward to Messiah, to looking back to his coming, through remembering Jesus as the fulfillment of that promise! That is what he called the New Covenant.
