It’s not about US, it’s All about HIM!

The Battle belongs to the Lord

L

The Battle belongs to the Lord! Help us to see the battle through your eyes, Oh Lord. The battle rages within our own hearts, and the unseen things, that surround us in this fallen world. Help us to see the Victory has already been won, both through your death and resurrection, and your promise of coming return and making all things right again. Show who you are today, and every day, as we persevere in Your Name. Amen!

This is how our minds change these scriptures. Rejoice SOMETIMES, Be anxious for SOMETHINGS, but in SOMETHINGS OR THINGS WE WANT, by WORRYING AND STRESSING INTERNALLY ABOUT OUR TESTS AND TRIALS. LORD, please help us to note that what we do with this verse, is NOT what you are telling us to do. Forgive us when we put our own cares on our shoulders, and not ours. Give us that peace, as we obey how you have called to walk in your spirit. Amen!!!

Just as Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, by twisting the word of God, so shall he try to do to us, who follow Jesus. We must speak Gods truth to each other, and not worldly wisdom, which will lead us down a path of destruction. What will you choose, Life or Death? Choose Life! This world is not our eternal home.

Here is the context from the verse before it………….. BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK ; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.

bible.com/bible/59/rom.12.21.ESV

Refers to an ancient Egyptian custom in which a person who wanted to show public contrition carried a pan of burning coals on his head. The coals represented the burning pain of his shame and guilt. When believers lovingly help their enemies, it should bring shame to such people for their hate and animosity (cf. Pr 25:21 , 22 ).

Impossible, without being filled with the Holy Spirit, daily. Father, you showed much Grace to us when we were in rebellion to you. Help us to show that same grace and compassion to our enemies. Give each of us wisdom and discernment, to know what that looks like. Amen.

You and I, need to really think hard and Long on this passage. This is not a suggestion, it IS a command. I want us to think about who our enemies might be. Take some time to pray about what it might look like to Love our enemies! If we want to change our city, our, county, our state, our nation, our world, what would it look like, to Love our enemies? I know it has to start with our own changed heart, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Grace of God, through Jesus. What will we do, how will we take action? It is certainly a great time of year, to do something! Would you agree? Praying our Christmas season of giving, will include our enemies. Have a Blessed day.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

We Are Not Ashamed………. For I am not a ashamed of the gospel , for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. May the grant us all strength, to stand firm in our faith, through his Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus.

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ” but the righteous man shall live by faith .”

There is no way we can do this, without being filled with the Holy spirit. Our own sinful nature, will battle against us when we try this in our on strength. When we have an attitude of gratitude of Gods Grace, it changes us, to do what seems like the impossible. Thank you Jesus.

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Lord, may our hearts humbly bow before you, in persistent prayer. May we be alert, to the needs of others, so we might lift them up. Reveal yourself to us, through answered prayer, even though it may not be, what we wanted the outcome to be. May we always remember, that you care about us and love hearing our petitions.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;
