Update on my Blog, for those who follow me.
If I am a bit inconsistent on some of my postings, there is a reason. After much prayer, my wife and I have been led, to leave our ministry in SoCal and move to Tennessee, to be closer to my daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter. Many factors went in to this decision, since we have been part of a home church we have been ministering in, and we also have two daughters that will be staying in SoCal for now.
Please pray for us for endurance (we are feeling our age), plus wisdom. For now, I will be staying on as Elder,Pastor at the way church and helping with some administrative task, and we will be seeking the Lords guidance on new ministry. We have some good contacts in Tennessee & Georgia.
We covet you prayers and look forward to how God will continue to guide and direct us. He already, handed us an offer for our home in less than 5 days. Just another affirmation, that he is directing and affirming our path. May we continue trusting in him, as we have a long journey ahead of us, Lord willing.
Thank you all for you encouragement , prayers, and support in thinking that I might have something worthwhile to say, to draws you near to the one true God, through Jesus Christ.
Blessings
Alan
Can I get an Amen? He is so, so, good to not just us, but to all people, who believe. Even to those, who do not call him by name, our God shows tremendous grace and mercy. He waits patiently, that all might believe.
SCATTERS, AND YET INCREASES. The principle here is that generosity, by God’s blessing, secures increase, while stinginess leads to poverty instead of expected gain. The one who gives receives far more in return (Ps 112:9; Ecc 11:1; Jn 12:24, 25; Ac 20:35; 2Co 9:6–9).
May we wait patiently, on you, O Lord. May we not look at what we don’t have yet, but see the blessings and grace, we have already received. May we look forward, to so much more, when we receive our final crowns. Our Hope is in you, Lord. The one who has rescued us from destruction, through Jesus!
Happy Birthday, America. May God Bless America. May we move away from our worldly ways, and move back to our fundamental values, of our Christian Faith. Jesus is the one by faith in him, that can turn this country from despair, to hope again. Celebrate with Hope today.
The Word of the Lord, shall Endure FOREVER….
CONTEXT: “But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave;” Matthew 20:25-27 NASB1995
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, and we won’t accomplish the desires of the flesh. (See note below on walking in the Spirit)

Walk by the Spirit. All believers have the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit (cf. Ro 8:9; 1Co 6:19, 20) as the personal power for living to please God. The form of the Gr. verb translated “walk” indicates continuous action, or a habitual lifestyle. Walking also implies progress; as a believer submits to the Spirit’s control—that is, responds in obedience to the simple commands of Scripture—he grows in his spiritual life (see notes on Ro 8:13; Eph 5:18; Col 3:16). the flesh. This is not simply the physical body, but includes the mind, will, and emotions which are all subject to sin. It refers in general to our unredeemed humanness. See notes on Ro 7:5; 8:23; cf. v. 13.
