God talks a lot about idols in the old testament. He hate them! Where do we put out trust? Is it in our money, our looks, our jobs, our children, our spouses? God says put it in him and we will be blessed. Can I get an Amen?
The Good….God allways hears our prayers for those who believe. The Bad…We don’t always get our prayers answered, because we don’t always ask in his will. The Ugly…Some of us continue to throw up selfish prayers and don’t change.
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
1 John 5:14 NASB
What Good News! Do you believe it? There is no sin you can hide from God. Why not humble yourself before him, and be washed white as snow. Don’t beat yourself up. There is no sin God cannot forgive? Do you believe it? If you are hiding from him, then you are missing it. Humble yourself before him, and let him change your heart, through his grace and mercy. The alternative is, he will humble you anyway, but it will not be a good ending for you. Not now, and not forever, possibly. May the Lord grant you his eyes to see today.
Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord , And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
Isaiah 55:6-7 NASB
The Lamp on my feet tells me where I am. The light to my path tells me where I am going.
It’s always a heart issue with God, isn’t it? Your heart has to be in the right place to find him. Its not so much in our own strength, but a humble submission to a Holy God, that draws us to him. Read the 2 verses before this and you will see the rest of the story, as an old radio announcer used to say.
You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NASB
To those who don’t know Jesus, do you ever want a fresh start, a reboot, a clean slate. This verse says we will become New. It doesn’t mean that we will completely lose that ugly sin nature, but God will see us as whole and restored when we surrender to him. Those of us who have surrendered to him, need to be continually reminded of this as well. How great is our God? REMEMBER……There is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB
Let us always be filled with this miracle, that allows us to live a life of purpose. If this doesn’t make sense to you, please see the link below (Gospel Kingdom). May the Lord open your heart to his truth.
My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.
1 John 4:9 MSG
Who will you share this good news with today?
It is literally the greatest gift God can give, and the greatest thing we could share, to those who don’t know. Let me know how it goes for you today.
Will you be too busy, will you be too afraid, or will you be bold, filled with the Holy Spirit? I will be praying for us all today. May the seeds be sown and the harvest be plentiful.
Blessings
Alan
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
