Living Waters – 4-9-2020

Father, I am yours today, to do your will. Help me, to be filled with your Spirit today, by praying and meditating on your word, so that I might not fall into temptation. Your word says, I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Father, please don’t let the distractions of this world keep me from remebering your death and resurrection, and loving those around me as you have so sacrificially loved me.

Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/mat.26.41/51182

Jesus transitioned the Passover dinner, from looking forward to Messiah, to looking back to his coming, through remembering Jesus as the fulfillment of that promise! That is what he called the New Covenant.

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/luk.22.20/51176

We need to keep our eye on the crown, for persecution will come, as we live out our faith. Remember, Jesus said, take courage, I have overcome the world! May we be little overcommers today.

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/mat.5.10/51183

Gentleness vs Abrasiveness

A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/pro.15.1/588

God is revealing himself everyday around. Let us not become, so self absorbed in the world around us, that we miss him, and the comfort of his presence. May we not keep it for ourselves, but to share with those around us. God Bless You Today, in these Trying Times.

“Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley; Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, And all flesh will see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 40:4‭-‬5 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/isa.40.4-5/47780

God…….never makes a promise he does not keep.

Moisture from heaven invariably accomplishes its intended purpose in helping meet human physical needs. The Word of God will likewise produce its intended results in fulfilling God’s spiritual purposes, especially the establishment of the Davidic kingdom on earth (vv. 1– 5 ). (Taken fro the John MacArthur Study Bible)

So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/isa.55.11/30270

Come, and find REST, in Jesus. He will give you the hope, and the answers in his words and deeds, you have been seeking. Come and worship the risen King.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/mat.11.28/2611

What’s true 2000 years ago, is still true today! Believe with all of your heart, soul, and mind, and you will not be disappointed.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/jhn.3.16.NASB

Last Thursday was was 65th Birthday. It sort of came and went, I hope and pray, like this Coronavirus will.

Father, if we learn nothing else as a nation, and as a world, may we learn, that you are in control, and that our hope and trust is in you for all things! Father, may we be on our knees, pleading for your Grace and Mercy, as we confess, that we have put too much faith in ourselves and manning. Forgive us father, and may we still find favor in your sight, and may you receive glory and honor, for your names sake. Amen.

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NASB https://bible.com/verse-of-the-day/2ch.7.14/29989

Like a Bridge, Over Troubled Waters, Jesus is our bridge, he is our strength. I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me!

Wait for the Lord ; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord . Psalms 27:14 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.27.14.NASB
