This is not saying that fools show wisdom in their silence, but that silence conceals their folly. It does show that foolishness is bound up in the heart of mankind, and that we should use discretion when we open our mouths. This was a difficult one to think through. Fruit is the evidence of true faith, that leads to salvation. You cannot earn your salvation, by your fruit, but there must be fruit. Every persons fruit will be different, and each believer fruit will be rewarded accordingly.

Father, we are incapable of doing these things on our own. Fill us in remembrance of how you have shown us great mercy, and fill us with your Holy Spirit, to give us your own eyes of compassion on those around us, as undeserving as we were. We deserve nothing, but you have given us life. Amen!

Just as God said, this is my son, in whom I am well pleased, he is also pleased in us, his sons and daughters. We are adopted sons/daughters and when we trusted in Jesus for salvation, there is no judgement for those in Christ. We have been perfected in love. Is this not Good News? Let’s shout it from the mountaintops. Jesus is alive, and he sent his Holy Spirit to live inside of us, to those who believe.
