What lens are we looking through? Is it the lens of God’s word, that helps us see clearly, that we are loved and cherished by God…..or is it the lens of the liar, Satan, who whispers, that we are worthless, and have no value. God loves us so much, He gave his son, so that we might live, in complete assurance of his love and covenant with us.

Calling them to Himself, Jesus *said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them; and their great men exercise authority over them. But it is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

TAKEN FROM 52 BIBLE VERSES FOR MEN (YOUVERSION BIBLE APP)
As a man after God’s heart, it’s not just about fleeing sin but about what we’re pursuing. All of the great men of faith in the Bible aren’t in there because they didn’t sin. As a matter of fact, there are some pretty horrific things that many of them did in their lives. But, they were all marked by qualities of repentance, grace, pursuing justice, defending the oppressed, and establishing God’s kingdom. Don’t make your goal not to do the wrong things, but make it your goal to pursue the list above. As you chase after the right things, your desire for sin will fade.

Zion
Is a place name in the Hebrew Bible used as a synonym for Jerusalem as well as for the Land of Israel as a whole. The name is found in 2 Samuel, one of the books of the Hebrew Bible dated to before or close to the mid-6th century BCE. It originally referred to a specific hill in Jerusalem, located to the south of Mount Moriah. According to the narrative of 2 Samuel 5, Mount Zion held the Jebusite fortress of the same name that was conquered by David and was renamed the City of David. That specific hill is one of the many squat hills that form Jerusalem, which also includes Mount Moriah, the Mount of Olives, etc. Over many centuries, until as recently as the Ottoman era, the city walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt many times in new locations, so that the particular hill known as Mount Zion is no longer inside the city wall, but its location is now just outside the portion of the Old City wall forming the southern boundary of the Jewish Quarter of the current Old City.Wikipedia
