Do you read this verse rejoice sometimes vs always. It’s easy to apply this verse when things are good, but the Apostle Paul clearly makes clear, earlier in the book of Philippians, that our circumstances should not dictate our joy. How are you doing with this today? Can I pray for you, for something? Better yet, let your request be made known to God, but please reach for joy, no matter what!

  1. Thank you for sharing. Pray for my wife who fell and fractured her heel and need to stay somewhat immobile till mid Jan. Also pray that I would heal from shoulder surgery. I have legs, she has hands so we can help each other out thru the holidays. I am going to try and sing Sun in the worship band but no guitar for at least a month or two. Rejoicing that we have Gods family to help us and the gospel to share for all those who need hope and restoration with God!

  2. For some reason the comment that I wanted to leave here went on the blog following this one in my news feed. It was supposed to be for here. This is what I wrote:
I am rejoicing for a great nephew of mine’s healing. I know that the Lord will work all things together for my good. He loves to give His children good gifts. The gift I want is my great nephew’s fever to be broke and for him to be whole and well. He is only 1 month old. Thank You Jesus for always hearing and answering our cries!

    1. Thank you Lord, that you care deeply for your children. Won’t you please watch over and heal this new life that has come into this world, that he might grow into a man of God that pursues you with all of his heart. Amen!
